I recently had the chance to sit down with Jack Bowen, founder of CoLoop, to explore what this innovative platform can do for insights professionals. This post accompanies the video demonstration (see below). My aim is to show what CoLoop offers and to give you a sense of how it might be useful for researchers working with qualitative data.

CoLoop NewMR Demo – Spetember 2025

CoLoop’s founder and CEO Jack Bowen demos his ground-breaking AI-powered analysis tool to Ray Poynter. If you want to know how to supercharge your qualitative analysis – watch this demo and find out how.

What is CoLoop?

CoLoop is a platform for insight professionals and strategy teams, with a particular focus on qualitative research. At its core, it helps researchers process long-form qualitative data such as in-depth interviews, expert calls, and focus groups. Find out more about CoLoop by clicking here.

The platform takes videos and audio recordings and creates transcripts and accurate summaries. CoLoop allows researchers to add metadata (e.g. demographics) to support deeper analysis. What stands out in the demo was the ability to move quickly from raw transcripts to structured analysis, without losing the depth or context.

Key Features We Explored

During the demo, Jack showed several features that researchers are likely to find useful:

  • Analysis Grid – A structured way to turn interviews into a thematic overview. It pulls insights participant by participant, aggregates them into themes, and, crucially, provides citations linking back to the original transcripts. This ensures transparency and lets researchers check the sources themselves.
  • AI Chat for Insights – Beyond first-level analysis, CoLoop includes an AI-powered chat function built specifically for research. It can handle thematic questions, retrieve supporting quotes, and even perform light quantitative checks (such as “How many participants mentioned using X?”). Again, everything is transparent, with the system showing its workings.
  • Media Integration – One particularly engaging feature is the ability to link findings back to the original audio or video. Researchers can replay clips or even create highlight reels (an excellent way of bringing customer voices directly into reporting and internal presentations).
  • Security and Languages – CoLoop is SOC2 certified and operates with strict data protection agreements. It currently supports around 40 languages, with ongoing work to expand further.

Who Is It For?

CoLoop is being adopted primarily by professional researchers, both agency-side and in-house, who need a robust yet efficient way to handle qualitative data. Jack emphasised that the tool is not about replacing the researcher’s judgement, but rather about speeding up and strengthening the analytical process while keeping “the human in the loop”.

Getting Started

The platform is available via coloop.ai, where you can book a demo and see it in action. Subscription options are flexible: from project-based packages (popular with boutique agencies) to volume-based and seat-based pricing for larger in-house teams.

I’d love to hear your thoughts after watching. Does CoLoop look like a tool you’d find valuable in your research practice?
