Biography

Dr Heidi Hasbrouck is an experienced postdoctoral social researcher with a specialism in creative methodologies for qualitative research. Leading on Kantar Public’s visual methods offer, Heidi has led a diverse range of projects that use techniques including ethnography, vox pops, ethno-film, focus groups, deliberative workshops, listening events, and case studies. Previous to joining Kantar Public in 2016, she worked at Family Kids and Youth with a specialism in conducting research with children, young people and families. Heidi also worked as an arts facilitator with youth including at risk youth, young leaders, and special needs. In 2018, Heidi completed her practice-based PhD in Media and Communications and Sociology at Goldsmiths College, where she studied American diner waitress’ iconography and labour. To do this Heidi worked as a diner waitress in New Jersey and used performance and documentary film to produce an auto-ethnographic documentary film and a series of performance lectures.
