Storyfinding with AI Atlantic

Live online course
With Ray Poynter and Sue York

Find the story already in the evidence

The story is already in the evidence—but it is rarely obvious at first glance.

In this practical course, insight and research professionals will learn how to use generative AI as a thinking partner: helping them ask better questions, examine evidence from different angles and uncover the message that matters.

Participants will work through a structured approach to framing the business problem, challenging assumptions, identifying meaningful patterns and testing alternative explanations. The aim is not to automate insight, but to strengthen the thinking that turns disparate evidence into a clear, credible and actionable story.

Participants will learn to

  • Turn a broad brief into focused, story-seeking questions
  • Use AI to challenge assumptions and explore alternative interpretations
  • Identify patterns across qualitative and quantitative evidence
  • Distinguish genuine insight from a plausible-sounding summary
  • Build a concise story spine linking evidence, implication and action
